Tuesday June 8

11:00-11:20: Daily Dance: Dance Moves 2021: dancing with rap with Kaarina Koistinen and Oskari Elias Kaski via zoom

13:30-16:00: Sensing, Dancing, Performing on Zoom the first session of a two part workshop with Jess Curtis (US/DE).

16:00 -16:20: Swan Song: an invitation from the working group to enter shared space and practices of dreaming and bodying narratives shared by audio-video (available until 20.6.21).

19:00-20.30: Perch a performance shared through Kayte Coe’s home with a gathering at the end for a cup of tea via zoom.

Wednesday June 9

11:00-11:20: Daily Dance: Ways of moving: Join Ida-Maria Mokki (FI) and Alisa Kaski (FI) who will both be graduating from Vocational College Live via zoom for the day’s dancing.

13:30-16:00: Sensing, Dancing, Performing on Zoom workshop with Jess Curtis (US/DE) second session of a two part workshop with Jess Curtis (US/DE).

19:00-20:00: Kvartetto with Kati Raatikainen and a working group performed on Zodiak stage (in cooperation with Zodiak Center for New Dance and Pohjanmaa tanssi ry). NOTE: If this performance cannot be live it will be live streamed (decision made mid May).

Thursday June 10

11:00-11:20: Daily Dance: A Movement Journey inspired by the paintings of Catalan artist Joan Miro with Katarina Rampakova (SK/ES) and Noora Västinen (FI) via zoom.

11:30-13:00: One to One Mentoring Session with Jess Curtis (US/DE) which can be tailored for your practice via zoom

15:00-16:00: In conversation with Adam Benjamin (UK) and Silva Laukkanen (FI/US) talking of the dancer’s forest and actionable sustainability

16:00-17:30: One to One Mentoring Session with Jess Curtis (US/DE) which can be tailored for your practice via zoom

19:00-20:00: Sensuality Matters: a discourse on sensuality in the artistic process a panel discussion with Lucy Wilke (DE), Paweł Duduś (DE) Kim Ramona Ranalter (DE) from the working group Scores that Shaped our Friendship, and Maria Lahti (FI) from the performance group Kvartetto will join the panel moderated by Nikolai Klix (FI).

Saturday June 12

11:00-11:20: Daily Dance: Watch this Space. Join Sally Davison (FI/UK) and Kadar Kristan (FI/SY) for the last in the series working with inner and outer spaces.

11:30-13:00: One to One Mentoring Session with Jess Curtis (US/DE) which can be tailored for your practice via zoom

14:00-15.30: Inclusive Dance Pedagogies: going forward backward or just standing still? A panel discussion looking at cultural pedagogy and inclusion from school through the university education with Adam Benjamin (UK), Noora Västinen (FI), Eeva Anttila (FI), Joseph Tebandeke (UG) and Kaarina Koistinen (FI) as moderator.

19:00-20:00: ÉLIANE is a dance piece based on composer Éliane Radigue’s (b.1932) music and philosophy. The work is a joint effort of Teemu Mäki and Maija Nurmio. The dancers are Maija Nurmio, Jonna Eiskonen and Maija Karhunen. Radigue’s composition I’Île Re-sonante (2000) and Teemu Mäki’s text All Is Music are heard in the performance. NOTE: If this performance cannot be live it will be live streamed (decision made mid May).

Sunday June 13

10:00-10.30: Children’s XDF: Living room dances via zoom with Vera Lapiskaja for children

14:00-14:20: Children’s XDF: Book Moves – Join with your family to create together with the characters from children’s books and special guests

18:00-18:45: Mirage (premiere) after many sustained changes due to the pandemic and in the spirit of the times finally this work can be shared! Choreographed by Katarina Rampakova (SK) with Georgie Goater (FI/NZ) Noora Västinen (FI), Siiri Tiilikka (FI), and Sami Kekäläinen (FI) for small audiences on Zodiak Stage. NOTE: If this performance cannot be live it will be hosted via zoom (decision made mid May).

The Jess Curtis workshop is a cooperation with Työpajafestivaali (organised by Zodiak – Uuden tanssin keskus, Tanssin talo and Tanssille ry). The workshop and the Sensuality Matters panel discussion are supported by the Goethe-Institute. Other cooperation partners include Mad House, Crossover Festival (Eucrea ry) for the ÉLIANE performance.
